Cross Examination Debate Topics

Nicole and Robyn vs. Ashley and Lauren
  • The Constitution should be ammended in order to allow foreign born people to run for president

Cara and Cristina bs. Katherine and Christina

  • Hospitals, rehab centers, and therapists should be legally allowed to force feed anorexics.

Caitlin and Sam vs. AJ and Paul

  • Torture in interrogation of prisoners should be an acceptable practice in regard to suspected terrorists.

Matt and Nick vs. Dylan and Tony

  • Violent video games should be banned under federal law.

Brandon and Alex vs. Andrew and Paige

  • Physical education classes should be banned from the public school system.

Cross Examination Debate Topics

Due on Monday:
  • Each team must submit 8 case briefs (harm + and -, significance + and -, inherency + and -, and solvency + and -).

The day of your debate, you must submit:

  • An outline of your constructives
  • Your case briefs
  • A flow sheet from each person on your team

You will find out whether you are on the affirmative or the negative side the day before your debate.
